William Wallace Carpenter Jr.

William Wallace Carpenter Jr. was born in the Sunshine State of Florida more than 132 years ago on July 9th, 1887 to his Father William Wallace Carpenter Sr.and Mother Emmaretta Silcox.

This evenings honoree was the second of six children born to his Mother and Father. Elder Sister Maude was born 3 years prior to William's arrival in 1884... His younger siblings included Brother Frank and Sisters Ruth, Gertrude, and Irma.

Patriarch William Wallace the senior a native of Vermont supports his family as a carpenter.

William marries Schivalette Simonds on May 19th, 1909. We know little of his Wife under this name.

William would register to serve is Country on June 5th 1917 as the United States prepares to enter the First World War. He lists his occupation as that of being a business owner running a "Crate Mill".

He would serve his Country during the Great War until well after its conclusion on June 12th, 1919.

William is a business owner for the nearly ball of his adult life, mostly working with his hands in different elements of carpentry just like his New England born Father.

William and his Wife have three children during the course of their marriage although records for them are scarce.

By 1928 just after having celebrated his 41st birthday Williams health declines rapidly and he loses his life on October the 7th leaving behind a Wife and his three aforementioned children.

** William's death certificate states that his Wife's name is "Florence Carpenter" but we do not know if that is "Schivalette Simonds" whom he married nineteen years earlier in 1909.
