Robert Henry was the third of seven children born to his Mother and Father. He had an older Sister, Zola Mae and Brother, Jeremiah. Chronologically his younger siblings were Thomas, Minnie Evelyn, Lula, and Jesse Richard Taylor.
** This was the second marriage for James Harvey Taylor. He was a 36 year old widowed Father of five when he married Nannie on September 4th, 1888.
Taylor Patriarch, James Harvey supports his family as a lifelong farmer.
The family would transverse from Kentucky to West Virginia, Ohio, and eventually the Sunshine State of Florida.
On Saturday April 28th, 1917 as the United States prepared to enter the First World War, this evenings honoree, Robert Henry enlisted with the United States Armies Company C, 2nd Florida Infantry, in Orlando, Florida. He was soon transferred to Company C, 118th Machine Gun Battalion, before being reassigned to Machine Gun Company, 330th Infantry Battalion. This evenings honoree would be sent to overseas to France where for the fourth and final time is transferred to Company D, 105th Machine Gun Battalion, 27th Division.
Robert Henry finally returned to the United States several months after the Peace Armistice was signed on Saturday March 8th, 1919. A few short weeks later he marched in the welcome home parade for the 27th Division along 5th Avenue in New York City on the 25th of March. He receives his honorable discharge ten days later on April 5th, 1919.
Upon returning to the United States Robert Henry returns to West Virginia where he lives with his half Brother and works as a coal miner.
On December 29th, 1923 this evening's honoree weds Miss Mary Crothers in Adams County, Ohio ( Spelled Caruthers in other documents )
** On November 1st, 1926 Robert Henry and Mary lose a Daughter, Laura Louise who according to her death certificate is born prematurely. We know that they had a second child because both Robert Henry and Mary are listed on a marriage certificate as the parents of 20-year-old " R. Louise Taylor" on October 10th, 1949 when she weds Walter J. Hanski in Highland County, Ohio..

On February 16th, 1942 Robert Henry would reenlist to serve his country @ Alexandria, Louisiana. ( His physical living address at the time according to this same paperwork was in Peebles, Adams county, Ohio.) .** He listed his next of kin as his Mother Nannie.
There are literally no other documents for Mr. Taylor after World War II. His two line obituary does not even mention a single family member or descendant.
