Malory Baden Frier
Malory Baden Frier was born nearly 121 years ago on Christmas day in 1898 to his Father Mack Walter Frier and Mother, Nettie Idel Baden.

• On January 1st, 1898 New York City annexes land from surrounding counties, creating the "City of Greater New York" as the World's second largest city. It is geographically divided into five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island.
• On February 12th, 1898 an automobile belonging to Henry Lindfield of Brighton rolls out of control down a hill in London, England and comes to a rest when it hits a tree. He does not survive the crash and becomes the World's first fatality caused by an automobile accident on a public highway.
• On February 15th, 1898 in Cuba, the USS Maine explodes and sinks in the Havana Harbor for reasons never fully established, killing 266 men. The event precipitates the United States' declaration of war on Spain two months later.
• On April 5th, 1898 Annie Oakley promotes the service of Women in combat situations with the United States military. On this day, she writes a letter to President McKinley "Offering the government the services of a company of 50 'lady sharpshooters' who would provide their own arms and ammunition should war break out with Spain. ( War was declared on the 25th of April )
• On July 7th, 1898 the United States annexes the Hawaiian Islands.
• On August 28th, 1898 American pharmacist Caleb Bradham names his soft drink Pepsi-Cola.

Malory was the third of five children born to his Mother and Father... His elder sibling were a Brother named Hillary and a Sister, Helon. Malory's younger siblings names were Julia, and Maurice.

On December 24th, 1916 a single day before celebrating his 18th birthday Malory enlists with the United States Army, serving his Country throughout the duration of the First World War. During the Great War, he would serve overseas from July 30th, 1918 until April 18th 1919 achieving the rank of Corporal. He is honorably discharged on the 24th of April.
On November 13th, 1920 Malory now twenty one marries Thelma Rapier in his hometown of Tampa, Florida. Together they would have a single Son during the course of their marriage whom they bequeath the name Malory Jr
Malory supports his family while working for the United States customs service in Tampa, Key West, and later Brooklyn, New York
** According to a variety of newspaper accounts Malory's Wife Thelma had given birth to a Son as a teenager that she had given up for adoption. On June 22nd, 1923 after having left her husband in Key West and allegedly on her way to visit family in Virginia Thelma put forth a plan with three other conspirators to kidnap the now four year old Son she had put up for adoption. The kidnapping failed and one of her lackeys was shot but not fatally by the little boys adopted Father.
The case was hugely publicized but continuously postponed for years and years. Thelma's primary accomplice Leo Day had other criminal proclivities afterwards as he was arrested a multitude of times for liquor charges during prohibition.
Through it all Mallory and Thelma's Son was born three years after the kidnapping in 1926. According to Census records from 1930 the family was living in Brooklyn where Mr. Frier works for the Federal customs service.
By 1935, their Son was living in Tampa with Mallory's Sister Helon and her Husband
In July of 1936 the Frier family received word to come to Brooklyn as Mallory was critically ill... He would pass away on July 31st, 1936
