Carmen Rodriguez was born more than 145 years ago on February 16th, 1874 in Havana, Cuba to her Father Francisco Ponce who was also born in Havana and Mother Vicenta Chirino a native of the Canary islands in Spain.

I was unable to find any verifiable and definitive immigration paperwork, city directory information, Federal Census records, newspaper article clues, or much of anything at all for Francisco and Carmen Rodriguez.

As you see here, Francisco passed away on Monday April 16th, 1925 and Carmen nearly twelve years later on Monday March the 15th, 1937...

Some of our best clues come from Carmen's death certificate. Here we learn that she had been a resident of Tampa for 25 years when she left this World. Her occupation was listed as " Housework" and the total time in which she had spent partaking in this occupation was 43 years, she was a widow, and that Carmen owned her own home...

In the comments below I will share the limited information I was actually able to locate. They include single sentence obituaries neither of which mention children and the aforementioned death certificate for Carmen.
